Description
Vignole Chianti Classico is made from Sangiovese (90%) and Merlot (10%) grapes harvested by hand. The grapes are vinified separately in cement tanks, with skin maceration for 15 days. The wines are aged separately for 12 months, the Sangiovese in medium-sized oak barrels and the Merlot in small French barrels. After blending, the wine undergoes a further 12 months bottle ageing before release. The colour is deep red and the nose bursts with intense berries. It is full-bodied and warm. It has a long and persistent finish. Vignole Chianti Classico is a perfect accompaniment to roasted red meats and mature cheeses.
