Description
Produced only with the best harvested and selected by hand grapes, coming from the best vineyards of the estate. The vines are planted on poor, stony soils (Galestro and Alberese), with a pH of about 8.2 and 40% carbonates, which naturally limits production yields, to the advantage of quality. The trees are trained to the “Tuscan bow” system, with a density of 4-5000 plants per hectare.
- Varieties: Sangiovese 90%, Canaiolo 10%
- Vinification: Traditional, tumultuous fermentation is gently conducted in small tanks and is followed by traditional “Governo” and spontaneous Malolactic fermentation.
- Maturation and Ageing: In Tonneaux (oak barrels of 7HL) for about 2 years, followed by refinement in the bottle (minimum 6
months). - Alcohol: 13,64 %

Organoleptic characteristics of the wine
- Colour: ruby red, garnet highlights.
- Aroma: spicy and fruity notes dominate, cherry and plum. Followed by notes of white pepper.
- Taste: medium-bodied, pleasantly delicate, velvety and round, with a dense texture; dense and fairly persistent tannins. Closing on tobacco notes. It is suggested to open the bottle about two hours before drinking the wine in order to make it well oxygenated so that you can rediscover from the first sip all the charm of our territory.
