Description
Tenuta Degli Dei’s ‘Forcole’ – Sangiovese in purity – was born on a three-hectare vineyard located a few kilometres from the main body of the estate’s vineyards with a southern exposure. After vinification, it matured 10 months in 2nd and 3rd passage tonneaux and the last 4 months were aged in unglazed cement tanks. The result is a hymn to the best traditions of the Chianti Classico appellation. The Sangiovese is pleasant, full-bodied but not heavy, on first taste it opens up across the palate with a fairly long finish. The well-presented tannins are elegant and then you can feel its typical red fruits This is a wine for the whole meal that is enjoyable as an aperitif but does not disappoint with main courses of Italian meat dishes
