Description
Tzingana is a perfectly balanced, intensely fruity and elegantly tannic wine. It is a blend (in Bordeaux style) of Merlot (45%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Petit Verdot (15%). The unique feature of this wine is precisely the simultaneous vinification of the four grape varieties, which allows for greater complexity and integration. Following natural fermentation in steel vats, the wine is put into French oak barrels where malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine is left to age in a combination of barriques and tonneaux for at least 24 months and then refined in the bottle for a further 6 months.
This Supertuscan has an intense ruby red colour with bluish reflections, on the nose it has ethereal notes of ripe red fruits and sweet spices; on the palate it is an explosion of fruit and it is richly complex and soft; the tannins, acidity and aromas are typically Tuscan.
